Adoptable Pet of the Week: Reese

This is a new weekly feature here on the blog – we want to showcase local organizations who work to rehome displaced animals. If you are interested in any of the animals you see in these features, please use the contact information provided to inquire about adoption, and tell them you saw it on AshevilleBlog’s Adoptable Pet of the Week feature. Then, be sure to contact us with your happy ending!

Reese

Meet Reese! She is 2 and a half years old, and at 16 pounds, this curvaceous girl has a lot of love to give! She has very expressive eyes and loves to “talk” to you in little chirps. Her foster mom says that Reese really LOVES to be scratched from the top of her head all the way down her back. If she sees you sitting on the couch, she will jump up beside you and keep you company, sometimes gently “making biscuits” with her paws. Reese even gets along just fine with other cats. She is a very mellow, calm, pleasant companion to have around the house… and she wants to go home with you! Meet this beautiful lady at Asheville Humane Society, located at 14 Forever Friend Lane in West Asheville near the WNC Farmer’s Market.

The adoption fee for Reese is “Pick Your Own Price for Priceless Love,” so you decide her adoption fee.

The adoption fee for every animal at Asheville Humane Society includes:

Spay/neuter, microchip and one year registration, all up-to-date vaccines, medical and behavior screening, initial flea treatment, a free wellness visit with a participating Buncombe County veterinarian, starter bag of food and 30 days complimentary pet health insurance.

Reese and other felines available for adoption can be seen on our website here: http://www.ashevillehumane.org/cats-who-need-you.php
