Anam Cara Theatre Company is pleased to put out a call for nominations for our Executive and Advisory Boards of Directors
Nomination application deadline Friday, February 27, 2015
Who we are seeking: Interested individuals who share a commitment to helping Anam Cara Theatre Company excel as the foremost avant garde, ensemble-driven, social justice advocacy theatre in Western North Carolina.
Desirable Qualifications: General appreciation and knowledge of avant garde theatre. Skill or experience in any of the following areas – fundraising, networking, public relations, publicity, volunteer coordination, development, grant writing, marketing, and/or law. Previous experience serving on a board of directors is preferred but not required.
What we expect of a Director:
Conscientious, active participation in board matters
Attend one board meeting a month (or two if on Exec. Board) – Skype is acceptable for those members living out of driving distance, though preference is given to those living in the Asheville area
Serve on one or more committees, depending on your interests and availability
Actively promote Anam Cara Theatre Company to the public and prospective members
Assist with fundraising
Be present at Anam Cara Theatre Company shows and events, as geographically able
Term of service: A three-year term, eligible for renewal. Term begins one month after acceptance.
Application Requirements and Deadline: Complete the Nomination Form (available on our website http://anamcaratheatre.org/2015/01/seeking-new-board-members), and submit a statement (100-word maximum) to email@example.com about the person you are nominating including qualifications, background, interests and why the nominee wishes to be a part of Anam Cara’s Board. Note that current Executive Board members will review all applicants and determine whether a candidate is best suited for our Executive Board or Advisory Board.
