The now controversial coffee shop is for sale, we learned today. Protesters had resumed their stance outside, offering coffee and doughnuts to passersby. "The coffee shop is indeed for sale," one of the parties who wishes to be unnamed, told us. "At this point, it is more selling the assets than the business itself." The two individuals who had arrived at the coffee shop late this morning shared that they also own other coffee stores, and are interested in the cold brew equipment.

Yesterday, information was released about the two owners of Waking Life Espresso, in which it was made public that Jared Rutledge and Jacob Owens had admitted to using their place of business to further their sexual escapades. Sanctuary Brewing Company Opens Their Doors

Sanctuary Brewing Company officially opened their doors Saturday, August 22nd at 1 pm. Owners Joe Dinan and Lisa McDonald were ecstatic to share their hard work with friends and family this past weekend. Only the second brewery to open in Hendersonville, Sanctuary has 15 beers and one cider currently on tap. In addition to beer, the brewery offers craft soda from Virgil's and Boylan, as well as small range of vegan friendly foods from Roots Hummus, No Evil Foods, and Edible Musings.

Grand Tasting Final Chapter in the Wine & Food Fest Book This Weekend

The Asheville Wine & Food Festival's final phase of their culinary and mixology competitions, The Grand Tasting, will take place this Saturday night at the Civic Center. You may remember my coverage of earlier phases of the competition, AMUSE and ESSENCE, during which one chef and one mixologist were selected by attendees to move on to the next phase.
