I am an avid thrift shopper and I always get excited to find a good bargain. Asheville has no shortage of great thrift shops, second hand stores and consignment shops. A while back I gave you a list of my personal top 5 but I wanted to create a more encompassing list for you guys to use.
The shops listed here begin with thrift shops and then second hand, vintage specialty and consignment shops last. Generally, thrift shops are where you will find the lowest priced items. Consignment shops and specialty vintage shops will be a little pricier, especially if it rare or a name brand. Sometimes a consignment shop will have a sale and items will get as cheap as the thrift store! Don’t forget you can get store credit by selling some of your own items at the consignment shop as well. That’s what I do! Recycling at its best!

Is this list still current? Great information, but I noticed some of the comments were from 4 years ago.
Your list is fabulous, but you might want to add the Rescue Mission Thrift on Long Shoals Road. I don’t have the exact address, but they are now in the building formerly occupied by Lester Carpet Sales.
Madame Butterfly has closed shop, but is now available for sale online on Etsy and Ebay.
