Catawba Brewing 2018 Passport Program Starts Now

Catawba Brewing’s 2018 Passport Program Takes Off with Small Batch Russian Imperial Stout

Catawba Brewing is now pouring a Small Batch Russian Imperial Stout (8.0 percent ABV) at all four Catawba tasting rooms. Brewed in their 10-barrel Charlotte brewhouse, this traditional strong black ale is full-bodied and rich in flavor, with a silky smooth finish. Four specialty brewing grains produce notes of bitter chocolate and dark roast coffee, balanced with a hint of malty sweetness. Catawba plans to roll out a barrel-aged version of this beer at year end.

Russian Imperial Stout is the first release in Catawba’s 2018 Passport Program, which returns for its second year. The program offers rewards, exclusive tastings, and pre-sale opportunities for customers who try the brewery’s weekly Small Batch releases. Passport booklets are free at all Catawba locations, including the Charlotte tasting room, which is participating for the first time after opening for business in spring 2017.
