Women Speak Out Against Waking Life

Yesterday, information was released about the two owners of Waking Life Espresso, in which it was made public that Jared Rutledge and Jacob Owens had admitted to using their place of business to further their sexual escapades. Since 2013, Rutledge and Owens have been running a podcast, Twitter, and online blog detailing the women they slept with, rating those women, and outlining the sexual acts in detail.

New Belgium Brewing Enters Second Phase of Hiring for Opening Team

 New Belgium Brewing is getting closer to opening their Asheville facilities with an 80-person team that is just over half way built. The 100% employee owned company made their first two Asheville hires co-owners at their annual retreat this summer, will hire approximately 40 additional positions before opening next spring. Additional positions will be hired through full build out over the next handful of years.

After two years of planning, they are thrilled to be opening their joint venture, Frostbite Ice Cream in Asheville in October. Located on Patton Avenue in the parking lot of Sky Lanes bowling alley, FrostBite Ice Cream will be 1,000 sq feet of soft serve paradise. Using local ingredients to create unique flavors, Frostbite plans to offer 12 different types of soft serve ice cream and 40 fun toppings.
