HEF MICHAEL’S CATERING OPENS NEW KITCHEN, EXPANDS SERVICES IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA
Chef Michael’s Catering is celebrating their fully-equipped commercial kitchen in South Asheville. Convenient to Buncombe, Henderson and Transylvania Counties, Chef Michael’s new location opens the door to an enhanced menu and expanded services in the area. The new kitchen occupies a former restaurant at Forest Center North (across from Biltmore Forest), 900 Hendersonville Rd, Suite 202, in South Asheville.
“This really broadens our possibilities,” says owner/chef Michael McKnight. “We’re now doing larger-scale productions such as corporate conferences, in addition to weddings, special events, and parties. It gives us the flexibility to try new ideas, as well as bring out the old favorites.”
Chef Michael has been a professional chef in Western North Carolina for more than 20 years, earning numerous awards from international culinary societies.
Booking an event with Chef Michael’s Catering means more than just fine food. Michael and his wife/business partner Judy take great care in matching the meal, the wine, even the serve ware to the special ambiance of each event.
“The new kitchen allows Chef Michael to devote himself, full-time, to providing creative and classical, high-quality cuisine for your special event,” says Judy. “Whether your group is 2 or 500, a simple box lunch or an elegant, multi-course plated dinner, Chef Michael’s will create a custom menu and serve it in style. We pride ourselves on sourcing local and organic ingredients whenever possible, and tailoring menus to specific dietary needs or preferences.”
Another feature of the new kitchen is the upcoming “Pick Me Up” service. Soon customers will receive online announcements of items available for pre-orders. They can call in their orders, and pick it up at the kitchen. “These will be mostly entrees to supplement your own salad and sides,” Judy says. “Quantities will be limited to pre-orders. Our newsletter subscribers get first dibs.”
Pick Me Up service will also include special event menus. “We’ll offer holiday dinners, New Year brunches, Valentine dinners, and other events, where you’ll be able to call, order, and pick up special platters,” Judy says.
