Dine To Be Kind March 10, 2015

On March 10, over 60 Asheville area restaurants are donating 15% of their food and drink sales to Asheville Humane Society during the nonprofit’s Dine To Be Kind fundraiser. The community is encouraged to dine out for breakfast, lunch and dinner at participating restaurants to help homeless local animals.

“We are pleased to welcome Meridian Animal Hospital as the Presenting Sponsor of the 12th Annual Dine To Be Kind,” said Eileen Bouressa, VP of Development and Community Programs.” And our Best in Show Sponsors are the ever-faithful Prestige Subaru, iHeartMedia and Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery. These businesses are instrumental to AHS’s ability to save and improve the lives of local pets in need.”

Lauren Weldishofer, Special Events Manager for Asheville Humane Society, is appreciative of the community’s support. “We are so grateful to our restaurant partners as well as everyone who plans to come out and dine on March 10. This event is so impactful because almost anyone in the community can take part. Just pick a favorite participating restaurant and enjoy a meal or two with friends and family. Drinks and take out are also included, so you can even order in lunch for the office or enjoy an after-work cocktail with coworkers!”

Proceeds from Dine To Be Kind will go toward Asheville Humane Society’s livesaving programs that support homeless animals in the nonprofit’s care and community pets in need. A list of all participating restaurants can be found at www.ashevillehumane.org and on the Dine To Be Kind Facebook Event Page.
