Fashion with a TWIST

Nestled in the heart of downtown Asheville is a fantastic women’s boutique with a lot to offer. Twist Boutique is a unique place to shop for one of a kind clothing pieces, jewelry, hats, handbags and art. You will not be bored at Twist, I promise. I went by myself to take a look at all of the pretty little things and let me tell you, I was impressed.

I spoke with the owner, Lisa Thompson, who is a self proclaimed retail junkie, about what she loves about her downtown boutique and what she wants you to come away with as the shopper.

Lisa is a professional at running a stylish boutique. You will find statement pieces that will really make your wardrobe one of a kind. Like this black and gold piece from designer Bel Kazan out of Bali. 

I personally fell in love with this jacket and was already day dreaming of what I would pair it with. Isn’t it gorgeous? 

There is a lot of attention to detail at Twist Boutique. Lisa is constantly on the lookout for interesting ideas and designs. Spring items are coming in right now and the shop will be in bloom with pops of color!

Twist Boutique has a wonderful selection of well crafted handbags, footwear and jewelry. Each piece is really special and has it’s own twist! No boring handbags here!

Rachel Weisberg also has her designs on display at Twist Boutique. Rachel brings with her a talent for creating beautiful clothing from recycled material. She specializes in hand dying fabrics and upcycling several pieces of vintage fabrics into one piece. Rachel also crafts handmade eye pillows filled with delicious lavender and even uses scraps from her clothing to make beautiful throw pillows. Here is just a small sample of Rachel’s work. • Twist is located at 35 Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville. Parking is available on the street in front of the shop or in the nearby Rankin parking garage.

• Twist Boutique’s price points are very reasonable. These aren’t run of the mill pieces. In my opinion for the uniqueness of the item the price is just perfect.
