It’s easy to assume that placing bets will always be the primary intention for visiting a bookmaker website or app but there’s been a recent rise in alternative features to get involved in. These football teasers serve as a break from betting that allow punters to try their hand at games that are completely free to play, and that could potentially reward the winner with a massive cash prize.

The sole aim of these free-to-play bookmaker games is to encourage players to keep returning for the next edition. Even quizzes fall into this category if they’re based around sport, like the ones you’ll find on Oddschanger’s dedicated Quizzes page, which provides followers with new football teasers to liven up quiet fixture lists.

A few of these exclusive games have become a cornerstone for frequent punters. They include:

Fantasy Football

Although it’s not the first thing that comes to mind when you think about the selection of free-to-play games, Fantasy Football is always one of the most preferable breaks away from betting. It’s active throughout the season and offers football fans the chance to build their dream team. You’re awarded points based on the performance of all the players in your team, with it being mostly based on goals, assists and clean sheets.

It’s now possible to join as many leagues as you want, and it improves your chances of coming away with some prizes as there’s cash prizes on offer for weekly, monthly and seasonal achievements in Fantasy Premier League. It’s become another way of presenting football teasers to the many punters throughout the country, with it being a regular challenge to select players who’ll have the most impact in the next round.

SkyBet Super 6

Options for free-to-play bookmaker games change quite often, with the individual bookies always pressing for a new and exciting way for their customers to make use of their website and app. Despite the efforts to keep things fresh, Soccer Saturday Super 6 is one bookmaker feature which football fans always keep involved with. It’s arguably one of the easiest games to come to terms with too, making it even more popular among the SkyBet customers who want everything to be instant.

Every weekend sees a new edition of the Super 6, where players can win anywhere between £25,000 and £1 million merely by predicting the exact correct score of six chosen football fixtures. If nobody manages to accurately predict the outcome of all six games, there’s a £5,000 cash prize to the person who finished closest with their predictions, so it’s always worth having a try at every opportunity.

How Weather Influences Sleep: Sleeping With Seasons http://ashevilleblog.com/weather-influences-sleep-sleeping-seasons/ http://ashevilleblog.com/weather-influences-sleep-sleeping-seasons/#respond Mon, 13 Aug 2018 23:41:16 +0000 http://ashevilleblog.com/?p=11749 Sleeping patterns always vary during different seasons of the year. Sleeping patterns always vary during different seasons of the year. Many people notice this, but they cannot explain how it happens. The outside environment affects the patterns of sleeping with aspects such as atmospheric pressure, humidity, precipitation, and temperature playing significant roles. The difference can be positive or negative depending on the environmental factor or season. Therefore, having knowledge about the weather and how it affects sleep is significant as it helps in mitigating the effects and thus a person can have a constant sleeping pattern throughout the year.

During fall and winter

Days get shorter during fall and winter, and thus there is less sunlight. People obtain most of the Vitamin D from the sun which helps in serotonin production, strengthening of the bone, and it is vital for muscle development. Therefore, when there is less sunlight, serotonin is produced at lower levels leading to overeating, fatigue, and depression. This leads to daytime sleeping and changes in sleep cycles which causes fatigue when a person wakes up.  Moreover, during winter, most people are always diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder whose clinical symptoms are depressions associated with sleeping problems between fall/winter or spring/summer. Therefore, with this knowledge, one can avoid having an inconsistent sleeping pattern by going outside the working place to expose the skin to direct sunlight, work near windows, and taking more Vitamin D supplements and foods.

Lower Temperature Improves Sleep

Temperature plays a substantial role in sleeping. The body temperature is usually lower when an individual gets sleepy and then slightly increases a few hours before waking up. Also, the body temperature slightly lowers in the afternoon, and that is why it is common to get sleepy after lunchtime. Having a cool temperature in the house will improve sleep. You should maintain the house at lower temperatures to ensure optimal relaxation.

Hot Humid Air

Hot humid air makes it hard to sleep, and this is evident during summer when there is always hot humid air in the house. During the summer, people tend to sweat more thus feeling uncomfortable. Being uncomfortable and sticky due to sweating is a factor that affects sleep because it prevents the body from releasing the hormones that initiate resting. Therefore, during summer, it is not advisable to eat before bed as digestion slightly increases body temperature which can lead to sweating. And eating lightweight meals a few hours before going to sleep is vital. Moreover, during summery weather, a person can use ceiling fans, open the windows at night, crank up the air conditioning, and use various mechanisms to reduce and maintain the level of humidity in the air.

During Storms

It is not hard to sleep during light rainfall as it does not produce an intense, noisy effect. However, it is hard to sleep when there are thunderstorms and lightning. Storms hit the roof hard making noise which disrupts sleep. When lightning flashes, it is always bothersome to some people as they cannot sleep with a flash of light on their face every few minutes. Obstructive sleep apnea, a condition that arises from disrupted sleeping patterns and it is mostly reported during stormy weather. Therefore, to prevent such conditions, it is important to have eye masks and white noise machines which will improve sleep during stormy weather.

Allergies Associated with Weather Change

Another cause of changes in sleeping patterns is allergies with most of them being associated with weather. Therefore, there are different seasons when people do not sleep well due to allergies that have risen during the season. During winter, the cases of cold and flu are usually high due to high exposure to dust mites which make sleeping hard. Tree and grass pollen are always at higher levels in the air during spring and summer, and some people are allergic to pollen which leads to complications such as asthma.

Most people develop allergies on ragweed during autumn and cannot sleep at night due to the infection. Therefore, before the start of any season, one should visit a doctor and get prevention against the specific allergens. Moreover, during the season people should be careful about the house such as keeping it warm during cold seasons to avoid getting flu and cold, or maintain humidity and temperature levels during hot seasons. In addition to sleep being affected by environmental factors, habits such as watching tv until late affect the pattern. It is essential to know the factors that affect your sleeping pattern to ensure that you solve the issue effectively hence achieving maximum relaxation through having adequate sleep.

How To Tune Up Your Body With Four Workouts A Week http://ashevilleblog.com/tune-body-four-workouts-week/ http://ashevilleblog.com/tune-body-four-workouts-week/#respond Mon, 13 Aug 2018 23:37:31 +0000 http://ashevilleblog.com/?p=11746 Working out is often something that you just do not have time for, and you need to see if you can figure out a way to work out that is better for you. Working out is often something that you just do not have time for, and you need to see if you can figure out a way to work out that is better for you. You must look at the way that you manage your lifestyle because it is altered when you are working out every day. You should see what you can do to change the way that you live, and you will live a better life that has much more energy.
1. How Long Do You Workout?

Your workouts should be short circuits that you can do in half an hour. This is one of the best things that you do in the day because you get a lot of exercise in a short period of time. You do not want to be worn out, and you just need to pick a circuit that will be best for you. You could do most of your workout in the house, or you could actually do this on your lunch break. It is one of the easiest things for you to do when you are trying to look your best and have energy.

2. Run

You could run one day a week just to get outside and get the fresh air that you need from a run. This means that you can get your run in at a time that is best for you, and you also need to remember that you can have the run be a part of your schedule. You might actually run every day, and it becomes something that will change how you live your life. You need time to run, and people get used to the way that you are running.

3. You Need To Get Your Heartrate Up

You should get your heartrate up so that you will feel your best after the workout. You get a rush from the exercise, and you will find out what can be best for you. You need to remember that you can have the best experience without anything other than getting in a hard workout because you need to have that rush of adrenaline when you are done. That sense of accomplishment and relaxation is enough to feel good. Plus, you are only doing this four times a week.

4. When Do You Workout?

You must choose the same time of day, but you need to pick the right days. You can easily have a schedule that is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. You will alternate that with Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday. You will cycle in and out of this so that you always get four workouts in a week. Being on a schedule makes it much easier for you to be consistent.

Jim Stoppani’s workout is the best thing for you when you want to stay in shape in just four of them a week. You also need to remember that you could use your exercise time to make things better. You could change your life in the way that you work out every day, and you also need to remember that you will be in a position where you are losing weight and you have more energy than ever before.

If you are reading this, there is a chance you suffer from some form of insomnia. As much as 40% of the adult populations in the U.S suffer from a form of insomnia. A lot of products have been prescribed to you by the physician, but none seems to be working. What should you do? Try yoga!

In simple terms,Yoga is an exercise routine that has low-impact coupled with high returns to your health. Yoga as a practice has been around from around the 12th century. Yoga helps you sleep by allowing mental relaxation of your body.

What are its features & benefits?

Calms nerves

Yoga as a practice advocates for the relaxation of the mind, body, and soul. It leads you into a trance like a state that allows you to meditate and relax your thoughts. Once the session ends your mind is free of any encumbrances allowing you to have a healthy night’s sleep.

Eases physical discomforts

Certain yoga poses allow for the relieving of pains in the body. If pains from exhausted limbs, lower backs and sacrum are causing you to have sleepless nights, then a physician may recommend certain pain medications which might not work. However, yoga might just do the trick with certain poses such as cat-cow and a downward dog known to relieve this certain types of pain.

Reduces insomnia

Research recently one in Brazil separated two groups of women that suffered from insomnia. One group did yoga sessions twice per week while the other group did not receive any yoga sessions and solely relied on sleeping pills. The group that received yoga session showed a severe decline of episodes of insomnia. What’s more, they had greater stress resistance compared to the group that didn’t receive yoga. The study had a conclusion that yoga had a considerable effect on insomnia when practiced consistently.

Allows concentration

Due to yoga’s demands for physical and mental strength, if you practice yoga always mental alertness will be heightened. It will allow you to be more focused once you arrive at your workstation. Heightened attention will allow you to perform to your best ability. Once the day ends, your mind will be tired, thereby needing sleep which will now come quickly. Since the mind was completely engaged during the day, you will not experience constant disruptions to your sleeping patterns. If your concentration is affected by an addiction, click here.

How Exercise Can Help You Sleep

Well, you know the drill! Exercise is good for the heart, mind, body and soul. That is the drill I’m talking about, the one you hear from your trainer at the gym or on the tv. I am here to tell youexercise helps you sleep!

Yep! You read that right using that treadmill, riding your bike, running and all other forms of exercise will help you sleep. Howyou wonder? Apart from reducing the amount of time it takes you to fall asleep, exercise has been found to increase sleeping time. Here are some of the reasons.

Body temperature.

A regular exercise session will have an increase of body temperature. This is due to the calories being burnt in that session. Once you stop exercising there is a drop in temperature levels in the body. Sleep will come much quickly due to the decline in body temperature.

Reducing insomnia symptoms

Insomnia is mainly caused by feelings such as anxiety, depression and high arousal. Exercise helps you sleep by reducing these symptoms. Once the symptoms are reduced the brain will be able to relax thereby allowing you to sleep. Circadian rhythms primarily refer to the body’s clock. What exercise will do, is reduce insomnia for people whose insomnia is related to their body’s clock. An exercise period will shift the body’s timing thereby reducing insomnia.

Allows better focus during daytime

If you exerciseregularly, you are able to focus properly during the day. This allows you to do work to the best of your ability. A spillover effect will be realized when it comes to sleeping time. Sleeping will be much easier since your body is worked and requires proper rest.

Increases sleep quality

Due to the rigors of the exercise session, your body will be likely to fall asleep quicker compared to previously. On top of that, you will experience a better quality of sleep. What this means is you will have fewer episodes of sleep interruptions. All sleep disruptions are not necessarily insomnia. You may just experience the interruptions from time to time but not constantly. Sleep will be great endless bliss once you start exercising.

Conclusion

As the points above show, exercise helps you sleep. On top of that exercise will guarantee you have an excellent quality of life. It will make sure you do not have to be out of breath when climbing activities or during any other physical activities.

Apart from helping the physical aspects of your body, yoga helps you sleep much quickly. What’s more, it is not as physically demanding as other forms of exercise despite achieving the same or greater results when compared to them.

Yancey County Will Be Home to 6th Mercy Urgent Care Location in WNC

Mercy Urgent Care is pleased to announce its newest location in Burnsville, opening on Friday, August 31, at 9 am. For residents and visitors of Yancey County and the surrounding area, this new facility means that high-quality, affordable and convenient medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries will be just minutes (instead of an hour) away. Patients in Yancey County will now have access to walk-in care at a fraction of the cost of an ER visit.

Mercy Urgent Care is excited to bring healthcare and support to the community by partnering with Yancey County who received a $50,000 economic development grant from the North Carolina Department of Commerce Rural Infrastructure Authority. To officially mark the opening of Mercy’s new Burnsville location, the Burnsville/Yancey County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 11, from 4 to 6 pm.

“As a longtime native and resident of Yancey County, I am very grateful and take great pride in the opportunity to serve the community that has meant so much to me throughout the years,” said Sara Greer, a Mercy nurse practitioner joining the Burnsville team. “The opening of the new Mercy Urgent Care facility in Burnsville will be a great asset and resource for our town. I am truly excited to be able to work with and for the wonderful people, employers and families of Burnsville and surrounding areas.”

Mercy Urgent Care Burnsville, at 41 Charlie Brown Road, will be the sixth Western North Carolina location for the nonprofit organization headquartered in Asheville. “Because Burnsville is such a small community nestled in the mountains, people have not had options for a full range of healthcare,” said Sister Peggy Verstege, the Mercy Urgent Care Mission Effectiveness Coordinator and Burnsville native. “But as small as it may be, we are planning to bring compassionate, affordable care and new growth to the people of Yancey County.”

In addition to services for individuals and families, Mercy Urgent Care Burnsville will offer workplace-related healthcare services through its Mercy Occupational Medicine division. Employers in or near Yancey County can take advantage of a wide array services, from workplace screening and testing to workplace incident management. Mercy Occupational Medicine offers board-certified physicians and licensed, highly-trained personnel to meet the needs of businesses and their employees.

“Mercy Urgent Care is excited to bring our long history of excellence in healthcare to Burnsville,” noted Medical Director Dr. Elizabeth McCarty. “We look forward to serving the community for all their urgent care and occupational medicine needs.”

Known for its compassionate and affordable care, Mercy helps your family, friends and neighbors recover from injury and illness and get back to a healthy life. A committed community partner in the areas it serves, Mercy is a certified North Carolina Best Employer and a proud living wage employer.

Mercy Urgent Care was founded in Asheville in 1985 as an outreach of the Sisters of Mercy, an international religious institute of Roman Catholic women, begun in 1831 in Dublin, Ireland. Committed to sacredness of life, human dignity, mercy, justice, service and excellence, Mercy Urgent Care believes everyone should have access to convenient, affordable and high-quality healthcare. The Sisters of Mercy have served WNC since 1900, operating the former St. Joseph’s Hospital for nearly 100 years before its sale to Mission in 1998.

Supporting the residents and visitors of Western North Carolina is a top priority, and to do this effectively, Mercy Urgent Care, as an independent provider, accepts most major insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina; offers a self-pay option for those without insurance, with simple, tiered “fee for service” pricing; and has a Compassionate Care financial assistance program for qualifying patients.

Mercy Urgent Care has served more than one million patients in Western North Carolina. Donations to not-for-profit Mercy Urgent Care’s Catherine McAuley Mercy Foundation enable care throughout WNC in Brevard, Weaverville, three Asheville locations, and now Burnsville – providing more than a half-million dollars in charity care locally as well as sending medical teams and supplies internationally. More information about the organization and all locations can be found at www.mercyurgentcare.org.

Amanda Bryant Takes the Helm as Museum Continues to Grow

Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) has completed its search for a new Executive Director and is pleased to announce Amanda Bryant has accepted the position. Ms. Bryant has been serving as Interim Executive Director since April. Her leadership has allowed daily museum operations to continue seamlessly during the transition period and she has proven her skill and resolve in managing the day-to-day functions as well as helping shape a strategic plan for the museum’s future.

“We were fortunate to have Ms. Bryant step in as Interim Director and are immensely pleased to have her permanently fill the role after a national search,” said Matthew Maultsby, President of the Board of AMOS. “She’s a strong leader with the background AMOS needs to achieve its goals of expansion as an educational resource to schools and families, and continued partnership development with Asheville industries, art community, and city and county entities.”

In addition to her experience within the organization, Ms. Bryant’s strong relationships in the community and her commitment to the AMOS mission and vision will be key as the museum continues its growth.  She also brings a wealth of expertise in overseeing programs with city and county impacts that will help AMOS during its evolution into a flagship regional science museum.

A Western North Carolina native who has lived and worked in both Washington, DC and Asheville for the past 12 years, Ms. Bryant most recently served as a Strategic Communications Executive at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) External Affairs. She brings extensive experience from that role as well as her role at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Her work at both agencies has given her a solid science background, along with crucial organizational and communications skills.

“To be given the opportunity to grow the museum into a showcase of science, technology, and innovation is extremely gratifying. I’m honored to work with an incredible team who is transforming AMOS into the attraction that locals and tourist alike put on their must experience list while also leading the conversation on how we attract more science and technology professionals to our diverse area and support workforce development through STEM education.”

Ms. Bryant also holds a degree in education and communications – a tremendous advantage as AMOS plans to expand its educational offerings, including camps and at-school and afterschool programs. She and her husband, Brandon, live in North Asheville with their six-year-old daughter, Charlee, and their dog, Tag.

Shopping is often considered to be a woman’s forte. Women tend to love shopping, and they are much more impulsive with it. They often shop not as a necessity but because they find it entertaining and therapeutic. It is for this reason, why you will often find unwanted items lying around in a woman’s closet. Men are generally known as being aversive to spending hours in a shopping mall. It is just not a man’s thing. However, not wanting to waste time in shopping does not mean that men do not like to look trendy and fashionable.

It is just that impulsively collecting a plethora of clothing items, hoarding a closet and taking out time and effort to make long shopping trips do not work for them. However this is changing. In fact men’s streetwear and urban clothing for men is on the rise. For menswear houses and online clothing stores, there’s a new ultimatum as they look to win over a younger set of customers. Today’s men tend to look for convenience as well as looking trendy and stylish more than before.

If you are someone who is always caught up between work pressures and errands and do not have much time to invest in long shopping sprees, here are some tips that will help you make sure that not only your wardrobe is trendy, but your shopping spree remains as convenient as it gets.

Plan Your Wardrobe

The best way to reduce your shopping time and keep your wardrobe on point is to plan it. Before anything else, make sure that you have an idea about what you need in your closet for the upcoming season. Go through your closet and declutter it. If you find anything that has been lying around and has not been in use for more than a year, give it away. If you are not acutely aware of the latest fashion trends, then it would be a good idea to go through some fashion magazines or online fashion blogs. Get an idea about what is in and what is out. If you already have something fashionable in the closet, use that. If you have something obsolete, give it away.

Once you have a general idea, make a specific list of clothing essentials missing in your wardrobe. List the items that you need to buy and specify the budget that you wish to allocate on your shopping spree.

Know Your Fit

Knowing what you need to buy it does not mean to buy things blindly. Make sure you have your measurements correct. Never buy anything without trying it on and see if the trim complements your body. Anything too tight will look awkward, and anything too baggy will be unflattering. If you stumble upon something that has the perfect fit, buy more than one pieces in different colors. This is because you might not be able to get a similar fit elsewhere. If there are good discounts are sales going buy extra items.

Embrace Online Shopping

When you are lazy or short on time, online shopping becomes a blessing. People are reluctant to use this option because they do not know what they will get, but if you do your homework right, you will have a convenient way for quick and easy shopping. Look for reliable and trendy fashion brands such as Differio that focus on selling trendy men’s clothing online. Study their size charts and exchange and return policies. For the first time, it is a good idea to try two different sizes to check the right fit and be prepared to replace the one that is of the wrong size. Once you have the idea about how their sizes and returns work, things get very simple for future shopping sprees.
