This sponsored post comes at a great time, as there are many dogs needing new homes in Asheville. Read this list and then look into adopting a pet dog from the Humane Society!

Do you know that having a pet in your life can improve your health faster than you can think? Pets, particularly dogs have been around for the longest time and through time they have created a bond with a man. This explains why a dog has been said to be man’s best friend. Dogs not only help us live a happy life but they also have a lot of positive impacts environmentally wise. However today I will be showing you how dogs can make your life healthier.

  1. Dogs help in exercising.

Dogs will help most people to go for that extra mile that you need to hit. Despite the couple of hours that people spend walking around the house they need to create a habit

  1. Helps push you to the limit

People will get in some kind of competition with their dogs and despite the fact that dogs are faster people will try challenging their dogs. This is healthy

  1. They motivate

Seeing your dog waiting for you at the door in the morning will motivate you to go out and run even if you didn’t feel like it

  1. Good play buddies

There is no better play buddy than your dog. Thanks to its genius brain and its physical ability. Drmartypets.com have made sure that your play buddy will stay healthy and energized all day long.

  1. Caring

People learn the art of caring and love from here and it helps those with heartaches to heal also

  1. They ease the road to recovery

In the event that you very sickly and are making a recovery you will notice that a dog might light up your moments and it helps people heal quicker

  1. Good partners

Many people have grown attached to dogs and with time they have grown inseparable from them

  1. reduce stress

Dogs are less stressful than people mainly because they don’t work and they don’t complain. They are just there to be loved.

  1. Lower risk of diabetes

This is thanks to all the hours of exercise with your dog as you try walking it and the blood sugar goes right into place

  1. Good for the whole family

A family with a dog is basically a happier family. This eases things at home and creates bonds

  1. Less medical trips

Dogs help you reduce the visits to the hospital as you will be happier, content and physically fit

  1. Help keep up with checkups

Dog checkups and vaccinations create a wake-up call for you to do regular checkups and in case of any trouble it can be cut from the bud

  1. Check on eating habits

You will not be comfortable taking good care of your dog yet you are living carelessly. The same way you check on your dog is the same way that you will be conscious of your health

  1. Improve people skills

Dogs give us time to think and more to that can be very good talk buddies especially since they don’t talk back

  1. Good for the heart

It has been often said that petting puppies will do magic to your pressure. This is because e you will not find anyone to yell at

Twin Leaf Brewery Continues Tradition with the Yearly Release of Their Rosemary IPA http://ashevilleblog.com/twin-leaf-brewery-continues-tradition-yearly-release-rosemary-ipa/ http://ashevilleblog.com/twin-leaf-brewery-continues-tradition-yearly-release-rosemary-ipa/#respond Thu, 08 Nov 2018 17:02:48 +0000 http://ashevilleblog.com/?p=11978

The post Twin Leaf Brewery Continues Tradition with the Yearly Release of Their Rosemary IPA appeared first on Asheville Blog.

This Friday, November 9th, Twin Leaf Brewery will release their Rosemary IPA, an 6.4% ABV IPA brewed with locally-sourced rosemary and a myriad of citrus and herbal hops. This limited-time release is brewed every November to coincide with Thanksgiving and the onset of the holiday season.

Twin Leaf’s Rosemary IPA recipe was developed long before the brewery existed. Then an impassioned homebrewer, Tim Weber, now owner and head brewer of Twin Leaf Brewery, wanted to create a beer to complement the flavors of the holiday season. Drawing inspiration from the ingredients in his infamous lemon, rosemary, and thyme smoked Thanksgiving turkey, he designed a beer with strong herbaceousness and complementing citrus notes. A few years later, once Twin Leaf  Brewery opened, Weber brought this recipe to the taproom and was impressed with the warm reception it received.

“I brew this beer every year because I like to drink it with Thanksgiving,” Weber laughed. “But other people fell in love with it as well and it became a tradition. I now make it [yearly] not only for visitors to the taproom, but for our annual Thanksgiving dinner that I host at my house for brewery employees, friends and family.”

Crafted with 3 lbs of fresh rosemary sourced from Barnardsville based Rayburn Farms, Twin Leaf’s IPA is dry-hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe and Sorachi Ace. The citrus flavors of the Sorachi Ace cut through what could otherwise be overwhelming herbaceous flavors of rosemary. Due to its yearly warm reception,  the Twin Leaf Rosemary IPA has become a seasonal staple of Twin Leaf’s rotating draft list.

Starting at 2pm on Friday, the Rosemary IPA will be available for purchase in 500ml bottles and on draft at Twin Leaf Brewery’s taproom located in Asheville’s South Slope on Coxe Ave. Bottles can also be found in a number of local bottle shops, restaurants, and retailers in the surrounding area.

We’re thrilled to take the pop up shop concept to the next level by bringing them to new venues throughout Asheville.

Every one of us has experienced this, after losing some files or documents in a particular drive you find out some documents were important but then you noticed that your recycle bin is empty. When you encounter such problem, what should you do to restore those deleted files?, Do not panic, I will explain you to recover those deleted files.

Most Effective way

The most effective way is to look for your deleted files in the Recycle Bin. This is also your primary step. For that, you just need to double – click on the Recycle Bin or trashcan and by that, you can trace your deleted files from the drive you have lost the files. If you are successful in finding your deleted files in the particular drive of your Recycle Bin, simply drag it to your folders or recover it by double-clicking it.

Retrieving It Through File History

You should always EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard try to back your files by turning on your File History Backup. For Windows 10, to back your files go to Start Button, select Settings->Update &Security->Backup-> Add a Drive, in the end, select an external drive for your backup.

To Retrieve that File or Folder:

  • Search for Restore files in the search box, in that select Restore your files with File History.
  • With all its different versions look for the file you need in it.
  • If you found your version, select Restore to retrieve it in your original location

If No Backups?

If you haven’t backed your files and even it is unavailable on your Recycle Bin, you should try file retrieving software either free or paid such as Recover deleted files*.

If you are a Mac user you should try a software specially designed for it which is Disk Drill* which is also available for Windows User.

This sponsored post comes at a good time, as the slowly approaching winter weather creeps in I was thinking of affordable things to do at home

When you have been working hard all week long at your job and trying to stay on top of all of your responsibilities at home as well, you will value the day you get just to sit down and chill out. On the rare occasions that you get to have time to yourself, you don’t want to be worrying about what you have to do the next day. Instead, you want to do something that makes you happy and takes your mind off of your stresses.

With that in mind, to help you out, this hand guide will give you three great suggestions for activities you can do on your day off. By finding something that is fun and engaging, you will be able to have a great day and wake up the next morning feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready to take on the world.

It’s all fun and games

A fantastic idea to start you off is to consider online gaming. This is a highly popular activity that you can even do from the comfort of your bed on your laptop, connecting with people from all over the world or playing solo to while away the hours. You can play Unibet casino games online which will give the adrenalin rush and sense of anticipation that every great game has, with the added bonus that you might win some money to go out and treat yourself at a later date.

A great story

Another option to consider is to snuggle up on the sofa with a hot cup of coffee (or hot chocolate if you truly want to spoil yourself!) and settle down to one of the best tv shows to binge watch. With platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, this time is being called the golden age of television for a good reason! What better time to get yourself invested in some quality programs when you have the whole day to yourself and not a care in the world? With the option to search via genre, series, one-off specials, and international creations, you will be sure to find something that you love and can spend the day getting lost in.

Let your creativity flow

The third suggestion is to take this time you have away from work to spend time doing something creative. If you are not a naturally artistic person, you can find interesting advice on how to be more creative. It is a worthwhile task to undertake as finding a creative outlet will let you deal with the stresses of your job in a productive way. You may even discover your new favorite hobby that will last for many years and bring you untold joy and satisfaction. Some ideas to get you started can include writing a short story or poem, painting, and learning how to knit, which will be useful as winter approaches.

Finding something simple and fun to do with your spare time is an essential way of relieving stress.

This sponsored post is really coming at a great time because I was just thinking about how I could share with you about how to save energy and money on your winter heating bill

How to Create a Warm, Cozy Home for the Holidays

Winter is on its way again, and you are looking to lower that heating bill this season. Here are some things you can do in your home to help keep it warm and cozy without inflating your bill.

Maximize Furnace Efficiency

Your furnace will run better if it is kept in tip-top shape. The easiest part of furnace upkeep is replacing your filter every one to three months. You can find new replacement filters at the local hardware store. Installing a programmable thermostat can save you hundreds by keeping the temperature in your home lower while you are away or sleeping, and then warming your home while you are present. Don’t forget to close off rooms that are not in use, so you are only heating what you need.

Beyond the things you can do yourself, having a professional service your furnace annually will keep your HVAC system running as efficiently as possible. It can be dangerous to attempt furnace repairs or tuneups by yourself, so please hire a professional.

Have Insulation Refreshed

0433b17ad319d017350f797c7ddc15d1.jpeg

The biggest component to maximizing your furnace efficiency is keeping the heat within your home for as long as possible. This will be almost impossible to do if your insulation has degraded. A professional will be able to tell you if your insulation needs to be replaced or supplemented.

Make sure to have not only your walls evaluated but your attic checked, as well. The blown-in insulation typically used in attics will compress over time and require your attention.

Evaluate Your Windows and Doors

Now that your home is thoroughly insulated, you can check for drafts elsewhere. The most common draft culprits are your windows, doors, and outlets.

Draft stoppers under your doors will do a world of good keeping that cold air out. They aren’t very expensive, and if you are handy with some fabric, sand, and a sewing machine, you can even make your own. You can add foam or vinyl weatherstripping to your exterior doors to stop cold air from seeping in through those cracks and crevices between the door and the casing.

The drafts coming through your outlets can be easily sealed with some spray foam. Make sure you purchase the intumescent or fire-blocking kind.

If your windows are drafty culprits, as well, you can purchase plastic sheeting to attach to the frames. Flimsy plastic sheets don’t look like they will do much, but they can really save you hundreds of dollars on your heating bill by the end of the season. The kits are typically very easy to install. Once they are in place, you can hardly tell they are there.

You can also find thermal drapes and curtains to help keep the heat from escaping through your windows. It is best to leave the drapes open during the day, so the sun can warm your house, and then close them once the sun goes down.

As you look forward to the holiday season, you can take comfort in knowing your home will keep you warm and cozy through cooler weather and help you save on your energy bill.

Asheville Humane Society offers pet food assistance to 17 food pantries throughout Buncombe County, making it more accessible to citizens in need. This is a vital part of Asheville Humane Society’s Community Solutions Program which provides resources and services to help pets stay in their homes where they are loved.

There has been a shortage of cat food for many weeks, and when Ingles heard the news, they were quick to offer food donations for the second time this year.

Robbie Coleman is the volunteer pet food assistance coordinator with Asheville Humane Society, and she keeps a close watch on inventory, knowing the need is great. “The generosity of Ingles in donating pet food to AHS helps keep our pet food pantry program afloat, and we are grateful to them for supporting the people and pets in our community,” said Coleman.

“We’re proud to have the resources that allow us to respond quickly when folks need help. Pets are an important part of the community so we try to help as much as we can, ” said Ron Freeman, Ingles Markets CFO.

In honor of Adopt a Senior Pet Month, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue will be waiving the adoption fees for senior dogs and cats for the month of November.

Senior adoption fees will be sponsored by Kevin and Lisa Fox of Fox Dental Associates. The Foxes recently adopted a senior dog named Venus from Brother Wolf. Venus is one of many senior and special needs animals who came to Brother Wolf as a result of their recent merger with Friends for Life Forever Farm.

“Before arriving at Brother Wolf,” says Denise Bitz, Founder and President of Brother Wolf, “Venus had resided at Forever Friends for six years. She has gone through so much over the past few months, including losing an eye to a chronic condition. But it has not affected her amazing spirit! She has only been in her new home with Lisa and Kevin for a short amount of time, but she is already settling in and has become best friends with Rusty, a 13-year old sweetie who has accepted Venus with open paws.”

The Foxes are happy to help other senior animals like Venus find their forever homes. “Seniors have a really special place in our hearts because they just want to love and be loved,” Lisa says. “We enjoy knowing that we are helping every senior we bring into our family live out their golden years in the happiest and most loving way we can. We don’t dwell on how much time we will have with them, rather how much we can love them while they are here with us.”

At Brother Wolf, the term ‘senior’ applies to dogs 8 years of age and older and cats 10 years of age and older. They have dozens of special seniors in their care awaiting forever homes. To find an animal who is the right match for you, visit the Brother Wolf Adoption Center at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville or search through their online database at www.bwar.org/adopt.
