Hi-Wire Brewing Announces Collaboration Mixed 12-pack with NOLA Brewing, Holy City Brewing, and Hardywood Park Craft Brewery
Consumers will be pleased with the unique styles available in the Hi-Wire Collaboration 12-pack. Hi-Wire Brewing’s co-owner, Chris Frosaker, notes “It’s been a while since we have been able to do any collab beers, so when we saw some openings at our production brewery, we wanted to go big. We invited NOLA, Hardywood, and Holy City because of the similarity between all of us. All four breweries are about the same size volume-wise, make very approachable year-round beers, and all have adventurous specialty programs. It was a blast making beer with three companies who approach the beer world in such a similar way as we do.”
NOLA Brewing, the former employer of Hi-Wire Brewing’s Brewery Manager, Ben Jutras, collaborated on a Pimm’s Berliner Weisse with Juniper Berries, Orange Peel & Cucumber (4.2% ABV). The inspiration behind the recipe is The Pimm’s Cup, a New Orleans favorite, which is a notoriously refreshing, cool, and light cocktail. Made to enjoy with friends on a spring evening, this beer will quench anyone’s thirst and have them anxiously awaiting a trip to the French Quarter.
Johnathan Parks, Head Specialty Brewer for Hi-Wire Brewing, is a previous colleague of Kevin Storm, brewer for Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. Together they decided to brew an Oatmeal Brown Ale with Honey & Black Currants (5% ABV), which is a dry and easy drinking beer that pours with a purple head. Hardywood is known for their darker beers and thought this recipe would compliment Hi-Wire’s best-selling Bed of Nails Brown Ale.
Holy City co-owner Jeff Moreadith is an Asheville resident, and good friend of the brewery. He has a similar passion for light and crisp beers, which lead Holy City Head Brewer Chris Brown to join up with Hi-Wire Head Brewer Luke Holgate to brew the Carolina Coastal Black Rye Lager (5.8% ABV). This delicious dark lager highlights Seashore Black Rye, a local malt grown outside of Charleston, SC, which was malted by Asheville’s own Riverbend Malt House.
Rounding out the 12-pack will be three of Hi-Wire’s flagship beers: Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA, Hi-Wire Lager, and Hi-Wire Gose. The Hi-Wire Brewing Collaboration 12-pack will be available the second week of February, and will hit Hi-Wire’s entire distribution footprint.
