The Asheville Mall has been under an increasing amount of pressure, with the opening date of Asheville Outlets a mere few days away. We’ve reported recently that Banana Republic has left the mall to open a storefront at the Outlets. Before European clothier H&M moved in, popular retailer Abercrombie & Fitch closed their doors and has been announced to be a part of the Outlets as well.
The most recent business to make the move is the King of Sweets, located in the walkway between Best Buy Mobile and Perfumania, close to JC Penney’s and Aerie. This large kiosk offered sixty varieties of sugary goodness to melt your heart and sweeten your soul. Sunday, April 26th was the last day for the King of Sweets at their Asheville Mall location.
The popular candy retailer will be reopening May 1st at the Asheville Outlets, and can be located in the Food Court. The grand opening of the Outlets promises to be a shopper’s paradise, with events continuing all weekend, including fashion shows, giveaways, and more. We will have live coverage of the event, so watch this space for more information and details soon.
Thank you – that was a huge typo on our part!
