STEREOSPREAD tonight at LAB

Lexington Avenue Brewery, known locally as “The Lab,” will be hosting a night of soaring synthpop Thursday, Feb. 6, featuring music from Stereospread, OddSTAR, and Divine Love Mission. Fans of bands such as Depeche Mode, Postal Service, Owl City, Goldfrapp, Beach House, Chvrches, or m83 will be right at home at this exciting show.

december15022012Asheville-based electronic rock band oddSTAR has re-formed following an extended hiatus and this will be their first show in over two years. oddSTAR will be opening the night with a 45-minute set of all original electronic material. oddSTAR is an original 3-piece electronic rock act based in Asheville, North Carolina. It features Ryan Davis on lead vocals, synthesizer and guitar, John Taylor on touch guitar, and Melissa Crowder on synthesizer, bass and backing vocals. In 2008, oddSTAR was voted the winner of the Star 104.3 [Clear Channel] Battle of the Bands and also selected to play the Rockin’ River Fest as well as the City of Asheville’s July Fourth Celebration.

Following oddSTAR, are newcomers Divine Love Mission, a socially and spiritually conscious pop band whose futuristic songs carry a refreshing message of love, mind and grace into a world succumbed by egotistic infatuation. This dynamic pop power trio consisting of synthesizer, guitar, drums and pop vocals, includes singer/ multi-platinum selling music producer, FORD, who’s productions have collectively sold more than 30 million copies world-wide. Together with drummer Benjamin Frame and guitarist Geoff Marcus, Divine Love Mission sets out to create a brand new timeless sound that unifies digital and analog together as one, for the soundtrack to a most divine story.

Closing the night are Asheville regulars Stereospread, the energetic electropop duo known for passionate female vocals and pulsing electronic beats. James Hopkins and Sara Snyder of Stereospread will be performing tracks from their upcoming LP and mixtape, adding live guitar, trumpet, and synths to the mix.

Show starts at 9pm. Doors open at 8:30pm for ages 21+. Tickets are $6.
