Retro Age Opens In Asheville Mall

Asheville gains a new retro video game store as Retro Age, a small southern branch of stores, sets to open in the Asheville Mall April 1st. Retro Age is owned and operated by Val Fisher, a recent transplant to Asheville. Asheville will be the third Retro Age store to open, the others in Georgia and Florida. The store buys and sells anything video game related, with the exception of PC games.

Located in the parking lot of the newly remodeled Sky Lanes bowling alley on Patton Avenue, Frostbite serves freshly made ice cream made with local ingredients. In addition their soft serve offerings, the unique shop offers beignets, coffee, shaved ice, cotton candy and brownies.

After two years of planning, they are thrilled to be opening their joint venture, Frostbite Ice Cream in Asheville in October. Located on Patton Avenue in the parking lot of Sky Lanes bowling alley, FrostBite Ice Cream will be 1,000 sq feet of soft serve paradise. Using local ingredients to create unique flavors, Frostbite plans to offer 12 different types of soft serve ice cream and 40 fun toppings.
