Starting kindergarten can be scary for both kids and their parents, so Asheville Outlets has teamed up with the Buncombe County Schools to create an event that will make that step just a little easier. On Tuesday, November 17th, over twenty-two schools and ten different county school curriculum departments will set up informational and interactive booths and displays in the Food Court at Asheville Outlets. Families with future kindergarten students are encouraged to attend to find out more about what to expect for the first year of school. The event takes place from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Wednesday, May 13th there was announcement made at Asheville High School that sent tidal waves through the school. According to accounts from students, Principal Joyce Best has now mandated that proper undergarments are a requirement for female students. Specifically, girls are required to wear bras to adhere to the dress code policy. This outraged students, who brought the report back to their parents.
