Food Drive Yields 7000lbs of Food for ABCCM

ABCCM thanks Asheville Outlets for hosting the week long Food Drive from May 1 thru May 8th. A big thank you to the neighbors, friends, family and church family who donated 7,000 pounds of nonperishable food items to families in need. Close to 1,800 bags of groceries were delivered to ABCCM’s Hominy Valley Crisis Ministry where local volunteers will separate, organize, and palletize all that AMAZING food.

Uncommon Market Asheville Indoor Market June 2019

Uncommon Market Asheville will be enjoying a climate controlled environment at their next INDOOR market on June 29 and 30. Come beat the heat (or rain) and shop vintage, antiques, art and handmade from some of the regions best! SURPRISE: Asheville Mall Renovation 2014

We've written pieces before about the Asheville Mall, and despite our misgivings about shopping there during the holiday season, the CBL owned mall is a go to spot for many in the city. However, there have been many changes afoot recently. The popular European fashion store H&M was announced at the end of 2013, with plans of opening sometime in 2014. This writer recently found out that New York & Company, a popular clothing store that sits on the same wing as Old Navy and Sears, is closing at the end of January, along with the popular FYE. Dairy Queen and Subway have also recently left the food court, leaving some to wonder what on earth is happening.
