Put your best paw forward by joining fellow animal lovers at Asheville Humane Society’s 13th Annual Taste of Compassion Gala at the Morris Hellenic Cultural Center in Historic Montford on Saturday, November 5 from 6 – 9 PM with a V.I.P reception starting at 5 PM. Thanks to Asheville Humane Society’s generous sponsors, all expenses are covered so 100% of the money raised will benefit local animals in need. A Beer Festival Beyond Just Tasting – Asheville Beer Expo

This past Saturday, February 27th, The Venue in Downtown Asheville was filled wall-to-wall with craft beer lovers, brewers, and entrepreneurs as they hosted the Asheville Beer Expo.  The Asheville Brewers Alliance invited about 30 breweries to this variation on a common beer festival.

Day 19: Sunning in the city.

It was a totally last minute decision to head to Charlotte Street and visit the City Bakery Cafe. It's a fairly popular place for people who live in Asheville, at least I think it is. Though I am not sure where I am getting that information from. In any case, it was another beautiful day and I was just dying to be outside. For some reason, this cafe popped into my mind and I headed to Charlotte Street, hoping they had outdoor seating.
