Brother Wolf chapter projects will become independent non-profits

Over the next few weeks, Brother Wolf’s chapter projects in McDowell, Rutherford, and Dickenson counties will all become independent non-profit organizations. Brother Wolf originally began these auxiliary chapters with the intention of reducing the counties’ kill rates and ultimately developing each chapter into a self-sustaining, separate entity. After several years of growth, the chapters are ready to bring this goal to fruition.

Asheville Humane Society announces that their executive director, Tracy Elliott, has resigned from his position, effective February 15. Last month, Elliott informed the organization and its supporters of his planned departure. Personal matters are calling him to be closer to his parents in the Midwest, and Elliott has accepted the position of President at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago.
