Highland Brewing Company is happy to announce the release of Starchaser White, the latest addition to the company’s year-round line-up. Originally released earlier this year as a summer seasonal, this Belgian-inspired white ale is brewed with coriander, candied ginger, and grapefruit peel. Named the fourth best American wheat ale by Vine Pair Inc. in August 2018, and wildly popular in the Highland Tasting Room, the resounding acclaim for this beer made it an easy decision to upgrade the brew to be included in Highland’s year-round portfolio.

On Monday, May 2, beer fans can kick back along the French Broad River in Asheville and sip a Fat Tire Amber Ale in New Belgium’s sparkling new “Liquid Center” tasting room. The doors swing open at 21 Craven Street, Asheville, NC and the public will be able to taste New Belgium beers for the first time at the brewery’s new location. Tasting room hours are Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday noon to 8:00 p.m. Public brewery tours will start this summer.

This past Saturday, February 27th, The Venue in Downtown Asheville was filled wall-to-wall with craft beer lovers, brewers, and entrepreneurs as they hosted the Asheville Beer Expo.  The Asheville Brewers Alliance invited about 30 breweries to this variation on a common beer festival.

Can we get an "Amen!"? Two years after its initial release, New Belgium Brewing’s RyePA is coming back with a nod to the brewer’s dual hometowns in Colorado and North Carolina. Originally brewed with Carolina Rye™, heirloom rye grown in North Carolina and floor malted by Riverbend Malt House in Asheville, RyePA revival also incorporates rye from Colorado Malting, a fourth-generation family farm in Alamosa, CO. The hoppy Rye IPA is available in New Belgium Folly Packs nationwide through May.

Asheville based Hi-Wire Brewing has signed on with Coastal Beverage Company to expand its distribution beyond the mountains, triad and triangle area of North Carolina to bring beer to the coastal counties. This soon-to-be 2 year old brewery opened the doors of its original South Slope location June 2013 and is slated to open the doors on its newest project, the Biltmore Big Top, summer 2015.
