Catawba Brewing to Celebrate 20th Anniversary, Week of Festivities on Tap

To mark its 20th anniversary, family-owned Catawba Brewing Co. will celebrate with Asheville for an entire week. The emerald-anniversary excitement will kick off on July 15 with a “Find Green, Get Green” gift card promotion where patrons will have the chance to win a $20 gift card during the week, or a $200 gift card on Saturday at the South Slope tasting room. Catawba will cap off the week on July 20 with an all-day party at its South Slope location, replete with four anniversary beer releases; onsite T-shirt printing; multiple bands; Blind Pig bites; Three Eggs Cakery of Asheville sweet treats, plus a celebration at the Biltmore Village tasting room.

Catawba Brewing to Host First-Ever White Zombie 5k During Asheville Beer Week

Catawba Brewing Co. is pleased to announce its first-ever White Zombie 5k, which will take place on June 1 at 9 a.m. on the last day of Asheville Beer Week. During the 5k, participants may run or walk from Catawba's South Slope tasting room through downtown Asheville to dodge zombies along the way in several "Outbreak Zones.” Racers who wish to dress in costume are encouraged to come as zombies or other Catawba characters (e.g., Farmer Ted, Evening Joe, HOPness Monster, etc.) to join in the festivities. Catawba will donate 3.5 meals per registration to MANNA FoodBank.

Registration for the Anything That Floats Parade is now open! This parade features people from all walks of life as they express their creativity on the river. Teams work together to create all sorts of river vessels; some simple, some elaborate, some made from recycled materials, and others made with lots of flair.
