Led by the Miller Sisters-Whitney (guitar, vocals, banjitar, mandolin) and Caroline (bass, vocals, percussion) alongside Josh Harris (banjo/mandolin) and Steven Hughes (drums), the group focuses on being eclectic. This new EP features many new faces and talent all within Haywood, Buncombe, and Jackson County.
Along with new faces, “Don’t Go” features five all new original songs. The songs feature themes such as a dedication to the Miller sister’s grandmother, working through conflict, unhealthy relationships, and walking through the tough parts of life. The album has eclectic instruments ranging from as common as a banjo to as different as harmonium, bodhran, pots, and pans. All recorded in Maggie Valley with youth’s grown up in WNC it’s hard to not be excited about how community comes together to support local talent.
