Paws for a Cause– The 6th Annual Run for the Paws 5k Run/Mile Fun Walk and Wagging Wellness Fair is one of Asheville’s largest dog-friendly events of the year. All proceeds benefit Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. Run for the Paws combines the fun and excitement of a festival atmosphere with the spirited fundraising power of the 5K run and 1 mile fun walk. Through this community celebration of pets and the people who love them, we promote positive, healthy activities with your dog and increase awareness of our No Kill initiatives in our community and beyond. Funds raised through Run for the Paws support our critical, lifesaving programs that allow us to save over 4,500 animals a year and help many more animals stay in their homes, and out of an already over-burdened animal shelter system. If you’re interested in adopting or volunteering at Brother Wolf, check out their 10,000 square foot digs at their Adoption Center, 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville any day of the week from 9 am to 7 pm.

This run is for active, compassionate and fun-loving animal enthusiasts of all ages. Whether as a family member, college student, professional, or a retiree, this event can help you help the animal community and yourself. Run for the Paws provides a unique racing experience for competitive and recreational runners for the 5k and leisure walkers in  the one mile fun walk, especially those who have dogs. Socially-conscious businesses and animal welfare groups from surrounding areas will also be there to educate participants and spectators about “No Kill” and other initiatives to improve the qualities of life of animals in our area.

“BE INSPIRED. DO SOMETHING GREAT!”

In the time that iDaph Events has been organizing run, cycling and multi-sport events in Western North Carolina, a footprint has been made, a reputation earned, and an identifiable mark left. But we will not simply settle for being at the forefront of the race scene. No, my friends, “good enough” just isn’t good enough for us as organizers, nor for you as participants. We hope you continue to BE INSPIRED and DO SOMETHING GREAT!
