4th ANNUAL WICKED HALLOWEEN 5K & FUN RUN BENEFITING ASHEVILLE HUMANE SOCIETY

On Saturday, October 16th at Carrier Park in Asheville, Asheville Humane Society, Delaney Agency, and Archetype Brewing are inviting you to walk and run in your spookiest Halloween costumes for the 4th Annual Wicked Halloween 5k & Fun Run. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Asheville Humane Society and the life saving work they do daily.

“The funds [from events such as these] ensure community pets in need receive the care, safety, life-saving medical treatment, and rehabilitation to live the high-quality lives they deserve,” says Laila Johnston, Donor Relations Director. Community support for these animals are an invaluable asset to the Society, providing the means to help these animals in need.

Not only will registrants be helping a good cause, they will also be able to enter into a costume contest, win race awards, and for those over the age of 21, enjoy a free beer with their registration, compliments of Archetype Brewing.

After registering, make sure to check in at 10:00am on October 16th to claim your complimentary race t-shirt and ready yourself for a day of fun. The 5k and Fun Run starts promptly at 11:00am, followed by the costume contest at 12:00pm.

In 2020, Asheville Humane Society impacted the lives of over 9,000 animals in the community with the help of generous donors and supporters. In 2021, Asheville Humane Society’s goal is to increase assistance to at-risk animals in an effort to keep them in the arms of their families and prevent them from ever coming to the shelter. We rescue, reunite, rehabilitate and re-home abandoned, abused, injured and lost animals. We provide education, training and support to keep pets in their homes. Asheville Humane Society has earned the highest rating of Four Stars from Charity Navigator, a designation achieved by only 25% of all charities nationwide. Our nationally recognized innovative programs and partnerships are steadily moving Buncombe County toward a no-kill community.
