Asheville's Food Truck Showdown

Asheville Food Trucks

Asheville is quickly growing to be a food truck city. While food trucks have been a staple for many years, it’s only been within the last year that the city has embraced the food trucks and made it easier for them to operate. With the city recently lifting the restrictions on the number of trucks that can operate within city limits, and making a place for trucks to park and sell their cuisine (frequently referred to as ‘The Lot’), food trucks are becoming more and more visible.

We’ve assembled a list of trucks in the area, and categorized them by food type. Click on the name of the truck to view hours and location. Please note that because trucks are mobile units, we can’t guarantee that they are where they say they are! Scroll down the page for a twitter feed of the trucks, and be sure to @follow them – that is one of the easiest ways to track where they currently are at.

  1. Every week I travel to Asheville for appointments before noon. As a visitor how may I get a good list of the trucks available, their schedule, & the cusine they sell? There’s a lot of sit down restaurants but I like a change-up for a bit. I searched online & I located a list of icons but there were no food descriptions w/ hours & locations. I know my way around Asheville, but a list to quickly chose from & locate the food trucks for folks like me being a visitor & a schedule to meet would greatly improve my chances of getting a great meal. I am aware of the Coxe Avenue location. If I could plan ahead for a great new meal to enjoy during my busy schedule & recommend to my friends & fellow visitors would go a long way toward planning ahead. Any complete list would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Asheville food trucks for the needed help.
    Best regards,
    Debra
