The Magnetic Theatre 2021 Season Auditions

The Magnetic Theatre is pleased to announce its first round of auditions for the 2021 season!  Taking place over Zoom on January 9th, 10th, and 11th, these auditions will cover the first half of the season, which includes roles for actors age 18 and up.

As many are aware, 2020 has been an interesting year for theatre.  While The Magnetic Theatre is still looking at how 2021 will evolve, current plans include a nine-show Mainstage Season, the continuation of Magnetic U and the New Play Development Program, and several Sideshow performances throughout the year.  Events will be presented in whatever way best suits the situation locally and nationally – some shows will be virtual, some outdoors, and some, with luck, back in the River Arts District black box theatre that is The Magnetic’s beloved home.

Some of the projects planned so far are:

• Wandering with Magnetic, written by Jamie Knox and Travis Lowe, directed by Jason Phillips.  
• In The Middle of Nowhere, written by Bret Murphy, directed by Katie Jones.  
• Kore, written by Gabrielle Orcha, directed by Jessica Johnson.  
• Magnetic’s One Act Play Festival, Plays & Directors TBD.
