Adler Gallery Hosts Eyes – A Group Art Show

A new art exhibition, “Eyes”, will open its doors December 5th at the Adler Gallery in Posana Restaurant. Curator Constance Vlahoulis has invited local artists to create their best work using the theme of EYES as their inspiration.

The twenty artists include a host of Asheville’s best and most beloved painters. Styles will range from representational to atmospheric impression, abstract and whimsical.

River Arts District artist, Stephanie Grimes, will feature amazing realistic scratch board works of animals. Curator Constance Vlahoulis offers a large work, “For Your Eyes Only”, a portrait of Ian Fleming. All works are available for purchase.

Vlahoulis hopes that EYES will be the most successful of the six shows she has curated for Posana over the years as it will be her last. She is relocating back to Michigan in 2019 to be close to family. Early spring, she will open The Conn-Artist Studio & Gallery at 36310 Main Street in New Baltimore, Michigan.

The “Eyes” exhibition will be up through end of February, at which time Katrina Chenevert will take over as curator.

All are invited to meet the participating artists at the Opening Reception and bid farewell to Constance, who writes, “I heartily thank Chef Peter, Crystal Edwards and the entire Posana staff for the honor of curating in Asheville’s finest restaurant. It’s been a joy to live and work in our glorious area. I will miss it.”

The Adler Gallery is located behind the main dining room of Posana, and is often used for events and meetings.

Opening reception for EYES, A Group Art Show is Wednesday December 5th, 6-8 pm in the Adler Gallery at Posana Restaurant located at 1 Biltmore Ave in Pack Square, Asheville, NC 28801
