Award Winning Show A Lesbian Belle Tells at Altamont Theatre

Award winning show out of Washington, DC to debut in Asheville, NC

Settle back and hear true stories about growing up in Mississippi, coming out in DC, and experiencing family estrangement, love, and healing. This award winning one-woman show encourages hope from the comfort of a rocking chair, with captivating moments of comedy and triumph over tragedy, as only a lesbian belle can tell!

Elizabeth McCain brings her one-woman show to the Altamont Theatre at 18 Church Street, in Asheville on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2pm. Tickets for the show can be purchased at www.thealtamonttheatre.com for $17 in advance, and $30 for limited VIP seating. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20, or $30 VIP.

A Mississippi native, living outside our nation’s capital, McCain premiered her award-winning show at the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC. She won Best Solo Show, and Maddie Ardillo (DC Broadway World) proclaimed it was “a thrill from start to finish for audiences from all walks of life.”

In addition to her award winning show, McCain will showcase her talents as an interfaith minister by leading a workshop entitled “Story Medicine; living fully with loss and joy.” This workshop will be held at The Cathedral of All Souls in the Owen Library on October 4th from 6-9pm. Release the pain of your past losses and open your heart to more compassion, connection, and joy with yourself and others for the next chapter of your life! Email Elizabeth for more details.
