So you’ve heard the saying, “Nothing goes together better than a brew and a beard?” No? Not a saying? Nevertheless, one local Asheville group is living by that creed. The Beer City Beard and Mustache Club is a group of beer loving, facial hair enthusiasts with the goal of promoting facial hair in the greater Asheville area, and having a few pints along the way.
Back in July they held their first ever “Enchantment Under the Sea” beard prom and one of our photographers was lucky enough to make it out and snap a few pics. The event boasted a lot of colorful individuals, impressive beards and mustaches, and most importantly, a contest comprised of three categories: best beard, best mustache, and a whiskerina category for the ladies. Well I’m glad you asked! This Friday, August 15th the BCBMC will be heading out to the Brew Pump for a night filled with fun and facial hair. The festivities kick off with a Corn Hole Competition at 8pm and a mini beard and mustache competition later in the evening. Think you have what it takes to be a beard and mustache champ? Well head on out and enter.
Just remember, the only facial hair faux pas is not having any.
