New Year’s Resolution Run: Gets the Ball Rolling for the Entire Family

What drops faster than a Ball in Times Square? Personal records of course! Runners from all across Western North Carolina and visitors from our region are preparing to let it rip along the streets of downtown Asheville as they participate in the 2019 New Year’s Resolution Run.

The 5th Annual Resolution Run 5k Run/Walk and 10 Mile Run, explores the streets of Downtown Asheville, NC on New Year’s Day, at a reasonable 10:00 am. Start 2019 off with a bang! This event welcomes families and participants of all ages to come run, walk or crawl their way to completing their first resolution! The 5k is a perfect distance for all abilities to run/walk and to start off your new year! The 10 mile event was designed with endurance road runners in mind. Both events are timed with chip timing.

Runners and walkers participating in the 5k event will explore nearby downtown neighborhoods and experience the best of the Asheville City while completing their first 3.1 miles of the year. Runners participating in the ten mile event will wind their way through the beautiful rolling neighborhoods in N. Asheville around the flat (and fast) Beaver Lake area and through downtown Asheville.

Race Start: Tuesday, January 1st, 2019 at 10:00 am

Location: Spruce Street (beside Pack Square), Downtown Asheville, NC

Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) serves the homeless, poor and addicted populations of Western Carolina. WCRM will host a shoe drive at the Resolution Run packet pickup and on race day. “BE INSPIRED. DO SOMETHING GREAT!”

In the time that iDaph Events has been organizing run, cycling and multi-sport events in Western North Carolina, a footprint has been made, a reputation earned, and an identifiable mark left. But we will not simply settle for being at the forefront of the race scene. No, my friends, “good enough” just isn’t good enough for us as organizers, nor for you as participants. We hope you continue to BE INSPIRED and DO SOMETHING GREAT!
