Historic Biltmore Village Welcomes 3 New Merchants

Catawba Brewing Company’s Tasting Room located at 63 Brook Street, Asheville NC, 28803 held it’s grand opening celebrations Feb. 22. The event, that was open to the public, included the release of a new, commemorative beer, music, and limited edition promotional gear.  The new beer, called Brewtal Double IPA, is the creation of Catawba’s Head Brewer, Kevin Sondey.   Dubbed a “big beer for a big beer city”, Brewtal weighs in at 8.8 percent ABV and showcases the brilliant citrus notes of the Mandarina Bavaria hop variety.  Says Sondey, “I wanted someone to be able to come to Catawba and have something different than what’s available everywhere else.  Brewtal Double IPA was made specifically for our Asheville location’s opening, and exemplifies the wide variety of styles we will continue to make for our home market.”  Catawba’s new location will also allow them to feature entertainment groups.
