HIGHLAND BREWING ADDS RISING HAZE IPA TO YEAR-ROUND LINEUP IN LATE APRIL

North Carolina’s largest native brewer is announcing the release of Rising Haze IPA -- a hazy IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy hops -- as the latest addition to its year-round lineup. Named with hazy landscapes in mind, the new beer will be distributed across Highland’s Southeastern distribution footprint in 12-ounce cans in late April.

Turning down services has never tasted so sweet. The third annual Sweet Dreams, Full Plates campaign set a new record this year – donating an incredible $59,100 dollars in September to support MANNA FoodBank’s mission. “MANNA FoodBank is overwhelmed with gratitude,” said Mary Nesbitt, Chief Development Officer. “Their incredible efforts that involved all levels of staff in area hotels will provide thousands of meals for those who did not know where their next meal was coming from.”

Catawba Brewing to Host First-Ever White Zombie 5k During Asheville Beer Week

Catawba Brewing Co. is pleased to announce its first-ever White Zombie 5k, which will take place on June 1 at 9 a.m. on the last day of Asheville Beer Week. During the 5k, participants may run or walk from Catawba's South Slope tasting room through downtown Asheville to dodge zombies along the way in several "Outbreak Zones.” Racers who wish to dress in costume are encouraged to come as zombies or other Catawba characters (e.g., Farmer Ted, Evening Joe, HOPness Monster, etc.) to join in the festivities. Catawba will donate 3.5 meals per registration to MANNA FoodBank.
