3rd Annual Food Truck Showdown April 2nd 2016

The third annual Food Truck Showdown will be taking place this year on April 2nd, 2016. Like previous iterations of the Food Truck Showdown, food trucks assemble on the lot of the Historic Masonic Temple to throw down with hopes of taking home the title of Best Food Truck and/or People’s Choice. This year the judges include Stu Helm, Katie Button from Curate,  and Larry Blunt from WLOS.

This event is open to the public and is family friendly, including activities for children. Local brews will be on tap from members of the Asheville Brewers Alliance, and Sovereign Remedies will be offering libations. Craft booths will be available for locals to shop, and live music with Temple Has Talent inside of the Asheville Masonic Temple.

New this year, the event will offer VIP seating at 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm for those that would like an exclusive tasting experience from each truck with private seating inside the Masonic Temple and servers to enhance the experience. Tickets for the VIP seating are only $35.00 per person or $45.00 per person which includes (2) drink tickets.

Proceeds from the Food Truck Showdown are to benefit The Asheville Humane Society, The Masonic Children’s Home, Whitestone Retirement Community and Friends of the Asheville Masonic Temple.

Bring your family and friends out to enjoy the vast tastings Asheville’s food trucks have to offer!

We were sad to have missed the showdown. We love the Asheville food trucks. We spend winters in Orlando and the food trucks there are not half as awesome. Our favorites here are Tin Can Pizza and Farm to Fender.
