Forks up and spoons out: Abby the Spoon Lady and partner Chris Rodrigues will headline the 10th anniversary Taste of Asheville: Taste & Tunes Thursday, Nov. 15 in Downtown Asheville.
“We are so excited to feature Abby, Chris and all of our street musicians,” said Jane Anderson, AIR executive director. “Just as our local restaurants give flavor to our city, these musicians and entertainers provide such a unique sound to our streets.”
Internationally recognized, Abby the Spoon Lady, is one of only a handful of professional spoon players in the United States.
Abby and her partner Chris Rodrigues will be joined at Taste & Tunes this year by Asheville’s famed buskers, Silver Drummer Girl, Alex Travers and Trio Magnifiquè.
For the 10th Anniversary, AIR teamed up with the Asheville Buskers Collective to highlight the Asheville’s celebrated street musicians.
“By partnering up with the Asheville Buskers Collective, attendees not only have the opportunity to taste 40 different restaurants and beverage makers, but now can enjoy the local sounds of our city’s incredible music scene,” Anderson said.
From award-winning southern cuisine to bold new worldly flavors, the Taste of Asheville brings over 40 of Asheville’s famed independent restaurants together for an unforgettable evening of sampling small bites, craft beverages and music.
This event is also one of the largest fundraisers of the year to support the work of the AIR, which in turn supports the 120 members of the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association.
VIP tickets (early admission at 6 p.m.) are $100; general admission tickets ( admission at 7 p.m.) are $75. Find out more information and purchase tickets at https://airasheville.org/air-events/taste-of-asheville/
