Sarah McCoy, Nathan Culberson, Andrew Little and Joshua Linhart are starting fresh, musically.
Known as The Friendly Beasts for the past three years, the group has redefined their sound and has a new name to match, Whym. But they need your help.
The band started a Kickstarter page and aims to raise $5,000 by March 3 to help them make their professional goals a reality. The re-branding effort and push for more promotion takes not only time and talent, but money.
“This Kickstarter will fund the completion of this project, including remaining recording costs, distribution, and promotion of the EP,” the page reads.
The band’s piano-driven alternative ambient sound came after months of writing and recording in a more collaborative way.
If the goal is met, McCoy told AshevilleBlog they would hope to release their EP that showcases the band’s transition in May.
