Event is Last Regional Qualifier for Ultimate Air Games
Ingles is excited to bring the Ultimate Air Dogs (UAD) back for three days of competition at Asheville Outlets. Always a crowd favorite, spectators can enjoy the high-flying athleticism of some of the country’s top dogs as they jump, dive and catch their way through a variety of challenges.
“We are so excited to partner with Ingles to bring this fun and entertaining national competition to the Asheville area!” said Sharon Morgan, Asheville Outlets General Manager. “Even more important to Ingles and Asheville Outlets, it is an event to raise funds for three area non-profits.”
At the end of each performance, volunteers will sell numbered tennis balls for two dollars each or three for five dollars. The balls will be dumped into the diving pool and one of the canine stars will jump in and retrieve a winning number to win an Ingles Gift Card. All proceeds on Friday will benefit the Buncombe County Schools Foundation. Saturday’s beneficiary is Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and money raised on Sunday will go to The North Carolina Arboretum.
Competition takes place Friday, October 9th from 4 – 6 p.m. (two jumps); Saturday, October 10th from 1 – 3 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m. (four jumps); and Sunday, October 11th at 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. (three jumps). The event also includes the new “Fetch-It, Catch-It and Chase-It” games, found only at Ultimate Air Dogs. It is also the last chance regional qualifier for Ultimate Air Games.
Area dog owners who want to test their dogs’ competitive skills can register them online at http://www.ultimateairdogs.com/event-info/2015/reg-srq4.html. Those who do not want their dogs to compete but are interested in exploring dock diving can donate ten dollars to take part in practice sessions in between competition rounds. Proceeds will benefit Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.
Ultimate Air Dogs is one of the country’s premiere dock jumping organizations and features both novice competitors and seasoned high-flyers. They also provide more open dock and practice times than any other organization.
