Isis Music Hall Presents Statewide Singing Circle with Tift Merritt

Isis Music Hall is proud to host an evening of homegrown North Carolina music, co-presented by Yep Roc Records and The Oxford American magazine. This special night of intimate collaborations, led by North Carolina singer-songwriter Tift Merritt, is part of a “Statewide Singing Circle” produced in celebration of The Oxford America’s twentieth annual Southern Music issue, featuring North Carolina music. The musical statewide celebration also includes literary readings from the current issue. The tour stops at Isis Music Hall, Fri., Nov. 30 at 8:30 p.m.

“We are honored to have been selected to host Oxford American’s Statewide Singing Circle. This is a unique and very exciting collaboration of incredible artists,” Isis Music Hall owner Scott Woody said. “The celebration is not only a celebration of the magazine’s twentieth Southern Music issue, but a celebration of the musical talent of western North Carolina that we are proud to be a part of.”

Each concert along the tour features unique performances and artist-collaborations. The show at Isis Music Hall will include co-curator Tift Merritt, along with poet Nickole Brown, Pat Mother Blues Cohen, Mike Guggino, Amanda Anne Platt, Jimmy Landry, Michael Libramento, Tyler Ramsey, Graham Sharp, Shannon Whitworth, Woody Platt, Sarah Siskind and other surprise guests.

Tickets are $20 and on sale now. They may also be available at the door; however, this show will likely sell out. Guests interested in pre-show dining options are invited to make reservations at Isis’s onsite restaurant Kitchen 743.
