Today, May 2, marks one year that our Liquid Center has been open in Asheville! Man, we love seeing your smiling faces.

Every Friday is Fat Tire Friday where our iconic Belgian ale Fat Tire is on special and there’s lots of other fun at New Belgium.

Saturday, May 6 –  BATTLE OF THE BANDS AND 1 Year Anniversary in Asheville

Friday, May 12th – Fat Tire Friday – Carnival

To get in the Tour de Fat spirit, we’ll have some carnival games and rides and even a dunk tank. Cotton candy, all the carnival you can handle. We may even have some live music!

Asheville gets its New Belgium bike to celebrate our one year anniversary and celebrates with a Battle of the Bands featuring local bands Carolina Wray and Ian Ridenhour. Winner of the battle will play the Tour de Fat stage at our traveling bike and beer festival on May 20. Asheville on Bikes and Mountain True are beneficiaries of the band battle.

Friday, May 19– Asheville on Bikes is hosting ROLL OUTTA WORK  ride to New Belgium ride as part of Strive Not to Drive week, and in preparation for Tour de Fat. Decorate and tune your bike at New Belgium to get ready to ride to TDF on Saturday with AOB. Volunteer with AOB to help at Tour de Fat http://ashevilleonbikes.com/

Saturday, May 20 – TOUR DE FAT comes to Asheville!!

Headlined by Third Eye Blind, Tour de Fat’s mayhem will include an ensemble cast of artists, performers, vaudeville acts, magicians and comedians. Tour de Fat revelers are encouraged to wear costumes and everyone 21 and older will be able to enjoy some of the American craft beer icon’s year-round line-up including New Belgium’s flagship beer, Fat TireVoodoo Ranger 8 Hop pale ale, bohemian style Pilsener and Citradelic tangerine IPA.

Since 2000, Tour de Fat has raised close to $5 million for non-profit partners and hopes to generate more than $600,000 in support of local causes this year. Proceeds from the Asheville stop will benefit Asheville on Bikes, an organization focused on cultivating the culture of urban and commuter cycling through advocacy and celebration.

*River Arts District Artists Association hosts Studio Stroll on the same day. We welcome Tour de Fat guests to come to the RAD early and visit artist studios.

About New Belgium Brewing
