Save the Date: Thriftworks, Russ Liquid, Live Animals play Asheville Music Hall

New Earth MUZiQ and Asheville Music Hall teamed up to bring Thriftworks back to the music hall’s stage, featuring Russ Liquid with local support from Live Animals, on Feb. 12.

Hailing from Berkeley, Calif., Thriftworks — seeker of unearthed sound — offers his own original take on forward-thinking electronic music. Producer Jake Atlas has built quite the name for himself over the past few years, touring with Bassnectar and other nationally renown artists, including Russ Liquid.

Portland-based producer Russell Scott — better known as Russ Liquid — combines vintage and future beatscapes to produce an all-out unique sound. Unleashing the Liquid experience on events like Coachella, Symbiosis Gathering and Shambhala, Russ Liquid is bringing his acclaimed ‘cosmic virtuoso’ to the stage at Asheville Music Hall for the first time.

Between his West-coast hip hop influences and his entanglements in modern bass music, Asheville native Live Animals creates a sound that transcends boundaries and blends genres, creating his own space on the map of the electronic dance music scene. With a background in percussion and music theory, producer Josh Stone fuses melody and harmony to create pure sonic force.

The tentative music schedule for the show on Feb. 12 is Live Animals from 10 to 11 p.m.; Russ Liquid from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Thriftworks from 12 a.m. to close.

Tickets for the show are available online at www.AshevilleMusicHall.com and in person at the One Stop, 55 College Street, for $10 in advance. Day-of-show tickets will be $12.
