Asheville to Host First Drag Brunch to Support Homeless

Asheville Drag Brunch will host its first Local Celebrity Drag Brunch on Sunday, March 10 at 1 p.m. at Bebette’s Café in Asheville to raise funds for the homeless. One ticket buys brunch which includes coffee, beignets, cheese grits, vegetable egg casserole, sausage, and breakfast potatoes, and also includes the drag show.  Profits from this show benefit the local charity BeLoved Asheville as they help Asheville’s homeless people year-round.  Upcoming brunches will benefit additional local charities.  Tickets are on sale now at www.AshevilleDragBrunch.com

The family-friendly entertainment promises to be top-notch fun and includes performances by professional celebrity drag queens Ida Carolina, Katarina Eclipse, Ginger Von Snap, and Asheville’s Bearded Lady: DIVINE!

“Drag is an essential pillar of the LGBTQ community’s history and culture,” Show director and performer DIVINE said. “This event is a fundraiser, yes, but it’s also an opportunity to share how fun and empowering drag can be with a larger audience and to promote Asheville’s incredible local performers, restaurants, and dedication to helping the community.”
