Gentry Heating, Inc. and First Citizens Bank raise $10,132 of crucial funds for ABCCM

On March 18, 2020, at 1348 Charlotte Hwy, Fairview, NC 28730 at noon, Gentry Heating and First Citizens Bank will present ABCCM with a check for heating assistance. In partnership with Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM), eleven branches of First Citizens Bank collectively raised $5,132.10 and Gentry Heating, Inc. provided a $5,000 matching gift. First Citizens Bank along with caring Buncombe County residents also collected 136 blankets. “Knowing that our efforts will help to provide heating assistance for individuals and families in our local community is very rewarding. Catawba Brewing Painting South Slope Green with Two St. Patrick’s Day Events

Catawba Brewing Co. will throw two St. Patrick’s day events, starting with Paddy’s Day Irish Brunch from Blind Pig on Sunday, March 15. The brewery will continue the St. Patrick’s Day spirit on March 17 with live Irish tunes. Asheville Gets a Little Sweeter with Opening of Nothing Bundt Cakes

As guest service representatives with Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries in Ft. Worth, TX, Megan Herschmann and Rebekah Moody became fast friends and thought it would be fun to own a bakery together. Now, six years later, the two are thrilled about their new adventure. “We always joked about how fun it would be to own a bakery together one day,” shared Herschmann. “We can’t believe that six years later, our dream is coming true!” The two both have family in the southeast, Herschmann in Tennessee and Moody in Georgia, and they knew that Asheville would be the perfect place to be. “With our families so far away, our Nothing Bundt Cakes team became our family back in Texas,” said Moody. “Now that we have opened our own bakery, we are excited to create our new Asheville “Bundt family!”  The bakery will host a week of grand opening festivities for the community March 1-7 (details below)
