Riveter Hosts Opening Day Thrown Down

DJ Logic to Headline Grand Opening Celebration

Post up and party down for WNC’s new adventure fitness facility.

Riveter hosts their grand opening celebration Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. with fun and festivities for all ages.

Located just a stone’s throw from Sierra Nevada and the Asheville Regional Airport, the Riveter joins outdoor adventure and environmental sustainability with a new 40,000 square foot training facility, all perched on a stunning 10-acre working farm.

“It’s such an honor to be a part of this and I am so psyched to finally be able to share it with the community,” said Elizabeth Jackson, who, along with business partner Eric MacLeod, worked vigorously to bring their vision for this world-class adventure facility to life.

Festivities kick-off Saturday with the opening ceremonies. Join DJ Seppe March and certified yoga instructor, Tish Hilyer, for a special live DJ yoga session from 11 a.m. –  noon. The ribbon will be cut at 12:30 p.m. and the doors will open for a day of crushing, connecting, and relaxing.

There will be games for all ages, food trucks, vendors, demos, and giveaways from the best in the industry. Pro riders and climbers will be on deck throughout the day for riding and climbing demos, signing autographs and talking shop.

The evening will culminate in a very special live performance by the legendary DJ Logic from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The opening party is free to attend. Day Passes & Memberships will be available for purchase to those wishing to climb and bike.

“Our original vision was to build a facility that gave everyone an opportunity to come, find a community, and foster a lifetime passion for outdoor adventure  –   I think we have done that and it is truly magical to see it all come together,” Jackson said.

As the first indoor bike park and climbing gym combo in the nation, the Riveter boasts over 16,000 square feet of indoor climbing terrain for adults and kids; a massive bike park with an 18,000 square foot all-weather “canopy” as well as an epic outdoor set of progressive flow lines; a yoga studio offering an array of classes from traditional to hot yoga; a conference room and community meeting spaces; a libation station; retail shop; and of course, the 10 acre farm.

“This is not just a climbing gym and this is not just a bike park,” Jackson said. “This is a community built around our mutual love for outdoor adventure.”

The grand opening party is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Doors to the Riveter will officially open seven days a week, 52 weeks a year on Monday, Feb. 10.
