Asheville Outlets will soon be home to a new outpost for Chimney Rock Gemstone Mine. Headquartered in the Hickory Nut Gorge in historic Chimney Rock Village, the mine has long been a draw for tourists and locals alike. The Asheville Outlets mine will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd and will be Chimney Rock Gemstone Mine’s third location. “A raw approach to Appalachian music intertwined with a heavy sixties influence” is more evident than ever in The Maggie Valley Band’s new EP titled, “Don’t Go”. The Maggie Valley Band is an Americana/folk band based out of Maggie Valley, NC. Led by the Miller Sisters-Whitney (guitar, vocals, banjitar, mandolin) and Caroline (bass, vocals, percussion) alongside Josh Harris (banjo/mandolin) and Steven Hughes (drums), the group focuses on being eclectic. This new EP features many new faces and talent all within Haywood, Buncombe, and Jackson County.
