Lindt Chocolate Shop Grand Opening at Asheville Outlets

Asheville Outlets is pleased to announce the grand opening of Lindt Chocolate Shop on Friday, November 20th The doors will open at 10 a.m., following a special ribbon cutting. The new chocolate shop will feature chocolate drinks; a chocolate dipping station where customers can purchase freshly dipped strawberries; and, a wide variety of Lindt customer favorites like LINDOR truffles and EXCELLENCE premium dark chocolate bars. Lindt Chocolate Shop will be located next to Justice.

Asheville Mall Welcomes Vanity Shops

Headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota, Vanity opened their first store in 1969. The popular junior fashion retailer has since grown to over 170 locations in 26 states.

Local Business Spotlight: Mitchell’s Tuxedos

Mitchell's Tuxedos is a small shop tucked in the back corner of the Asheville Mall, where they have been serving customers for over 35 years. A family owned business, this local enterprise is one of three storefronts in the mall that are not part of a big box retailer. Owner Kathy Beatty realizes that bigger is not better when it comes to providing customer service and that personal touch that clients crave for their important day. Mitchell's Tuxedos offers the sale and renting of quality tuxedos for prom and weddings, as well as offering business suits available to rent for that important meeting or interview. "We clothe families through generations, and consider it a total commitment. It is so amazing to see some of our clients return with their sons or grandsons to rent their first suit," Beatty tells us.

A local startup is gearing up to blast off May 20th, 2015. MobRocket, brainchild of David Bentley is launching out of the gate with one pursuit in mind: take down popular deals website Groupon. Since its inception in 2008,  Groupon has been helping businesses reach new customers by using their deals related online platform. The premise behind the popular website is that consumers purchase a product at a significantly reduced price. The vendors pay Groupon to promote the deal, and a portion of the profits for the sale in exchange for placing the product in front of customers. The sales giant reaches businesses in over 500 worldwide markets, and is currently valued at over $1 billion dollars.

Exclusive Hard Hat Tour of Asheville Outlets

This morning, a few staffers from AshevilleBlog got a behind the scenes tour of the construction happening at Asheville Outlets. The outlets are set to open May 1st, and the amount of work being done on the property is amazing. A total of 75 stores will be housed at the outlets, with 55 of them ready to shop at during the grand opening. In addition to the bigger department type outlets, 10 retail merchandising units will be open - these are small, local businesses selling from kiosks.
