Asheville Gets a Little Sweeter with Opening of Nothing Bundt Cakes

As guest service representatives with Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries in Ft. Worth, TX, Megan Herschmann and Rebekah Moody became fast friends and thought it would be fun to own a bakery together. Now, six years later, the two are thrilled about their new adventure. “We always joked about how fun it would be to own a bakery together one day,” shared Herschmann. “We can’t believe that six years later, our dream is coming true!” The two both have family in the southeast, Herschmann in Tennessee and Moody in Georgia, and they knew that Asheville would be the perfect place to be. “With our families so far away, our Nothing Bundt Cakes team became our family back in Texas,” said Moody. “Now that we have opened our own bakery, we are excited to create our new Asheville “Bundt family!”  The bakery will host a week of grand opening festivities for the community March 1-7 (details below)

Burial Beer’s Forestry Camp Opens Sept 27 2019

Burial Beer Co. is nearing completion of the largest, local restoration projects on their two-acre property in South Asheville. The historic structure, built in the early 1900’s by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), has been restored to use once again as a two-story bar and restaurant featuring an open mezzanine, roof top and outdoor areas, downstairs bar and communal hall, and full-service, seated upstairs dining room. Forestry Camp Bar & Restaurant will open its doors to the public Friday, September 27th at 5pm.
