MARCH 2019 SECOND SATURDAY in the RIVER ARTS DISTRICT

On the Second Saturday of each month, the River Arts District will be holding gallery walks with live demonstrations, live music, wine tastings / spreads of food, and more! Meander the mile-long district and discover all there is that the “RAD” has to offer. There are more than 200 artists in the 23 buildings throughout the district. Most of them will be on hand to describe or show you their techniques as well as share with you what inspires them.

The Collider: Scientists and Experts Discuss the Reality of Climate Change

The Collider is hosting a two-part panel series with local climate scientists and experts, many of whom worked directly with the fourth National Climate Assessment — also known as the NCA4. The first in this series of panel discussions will take place on Thursday, January 24, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at The Collider. Admission is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per person.

Hi-Wire Brewing has announced their 2019 Release Calendar, with the coming year seeing many returning fan favorites and a line-up of new beers to keep things fresh and build on what was a huge 2018 from the Asheville brewery. Kicking off January Hi-Wire Brewing will be releasing three specialty beers including their fifth version of Hazy&Juicy&Hoppy&Fresh IPA dry-hopped with Mosaic & Wakatu, German Chocolate Cupcake 10W-40 Imperial Stout variant, and Enchanter Baltic Porter.
