Located in Downtown Asheville, NC, Hi-Wire Brewing is known for producing approachable and balanced ales and lagers, most notably it’s Hi-Wire Lager, Prime Time Pale Ale, Bed of Nails Brown, and Hi-Pitch IPA. Awarded the most medals at the 2014 NC Brewer’s Cup and Best New North Carolina Brewery of 2013 by RateBeer, Hi-Wire’s award-winning beers can be found on draft and bottles in North Carolina bars and retail shops as well as in their downtown Asheville tasting room. Beer is good. And beer that does good is even better. That’s why on Friday, Feb. 7, Hi-Wire Brewing is donating 100% of proceeds from every glass of Strongman Coffee Milk Stout to support the strong men and women in Australia who are working to fight fires, repair homes, heal people, and rescue wildlife from the devastating bushfires that have been raging across the continent over the past few months. Nearly 25 million acres – an area a little smaller than the state of Tennessee – have been burned and more than a billion animals have been killed in these fires, but unfortunately, they’re not yet fully extinguished. Shocked and heartbroken, Hi-Wire wanted to do its part to provide relief, so it joined forces with 10+ North American breweries for the #BEERFORBUSHFIRERELIEF event coordinated by Brunswick Beer Collective out of Australia. All four Hi-Wire Brewing taprooms – Asheville Big Top, Asheville South Slope, Durham, and Knoxville – will be participating in the event, and donations raised will be distributed evenly between the Australian Red Cross and Wildlife Victoria.

Hi-Wire Brewing will be launching distribution in the entire state of Alabama beginning Tuesday, October 15 with roll-out events scheduled through October 17 in Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery, & Huntsville. Hi-Wire will be launching Alabama with their entire portfolio, including year-round, seasonal, and specialty beer offerings. For distribution, Hi-Wire has partnered with Alabama Crown Distributing Co., a full-service beverage distributor with wholesale operations in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, selling imported and domestic spirits, wines, beers, and specialty products.

Hi-Wire Brewing has acquired the remainder of the building housing their Big Top Production Facility and plans to open a new event space on May 1, 2019. The Event Space at Hi-Wire Brewing is a unique, industrial chic venue, situated just two miles from the heart of Downtown Asheville in Biltmore Village. Located next to their Big Top Production Facility & Taproom, the 5500 square foot Event Space is perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, luncheons, or private parties. Guests will have access to amenities including a full-service bar, featuring 8 taps of Hi-Wire beer, bar staff, folding chairs, 8ft rectangular tables, 70” round tables, projector and screen, glassware, wi-fi, and much more. In addition, the rental includes a bridal suite & grooms area decorated and designed by West Elm. The bridal suite will feature 4 vanity stations, a dressing area, bar, and seating area for guests to get ready, while the groom’s suite will include an air hockey table, foosball table, leather sofa, flat screen tv, and wet bar.
