New York City-based Aquila Theatre returns to the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts with two exciting classics for the stage: George Orwell’s “1984,” at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 and Homer’s “The Odyssey” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1. Renowned for its laser-sharp direction and skilled interpretations, Aquila Theatre has grown an impressive Asheville fanbase by offering a new selection of classics each season in the company’s signature “two plays in two days” tradition, wowing audiences at the Wortham Center with the versatility of both its clever staging and its actors.

Riveter hosts their grand opening celebration Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. with fun and festivities for all ages. Located just a stone’s throw from Sierra Nevada and the Asheville Regional Airport, the Riveter joins outdoor adventure and environmental sustainability with a new 40,000 square foot training facility, all perched on a stunning 10-acre working farm.

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the WNC Nature Center will host their 43rd annual Hey Day fall festival from 10am-4pm. The event includes fun for the whole family: arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, a hay maze, music, face painting (additional fees apply), and exciting animal programs with furry and feathered ambassadors.

Burial Beer Co. is excited to announce the 6th Annual Burnpile Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the soon to be opened Forestry Camp property which is home to Burial’s production facility, Burial’s sour and wild barrel house as well as Forestry Camp Bar and Restaurant. Attendees of Burnpile will be among the first to experience this 2 acre historical campus. The event begins at 12PM for VIP ticket holders and at 1PM for General Admission and Concert Goers ticket holders. Our band line up begins at 1:30PM and concludes at the end of the event at 6PM. The event is for guests who are 21 or older only.
